Five Signs Your MAZDA Vehicle Needs New Tires

Does something seem up with your Mazda car? If it’s not riding like it usually is, the problem could lie with the tires.

Here are some warning signs that you don’t want to ignore with your Mazda tires.

1. The Treads are Low

Your tire’s treads are what give you the traction you need to slow down and stop, which is why they need to be nice and deep. If they are too shallow, this creates a big safety hazard.

The penny test can give you some good insight. When you stick a coin into a tread upside down, if you see most of his Lincoln’s head, the tread isn’t deep enough.

2. There’s Uneven Wear

Are the treads plenty deep in some spots but shallow – or even balding – in others? This could be because you haven’t gotten your tires rotated regularly. It may also indicate a problem with the alignment. Either way, they need to be replaced.

3. You’ve Spotted Cracks

Even if the treads are fine, if you’ve noticed cracks in the rubber, this shouldn’t be ignored. This is a sign that the rubber has degraded. It could be due to a low-quality tire or perhaps because it’s just old.

4. You Keep Needing to Add Air

If your dashboard frequently tells you that one or more of your tires is low on air, this is another red flag. This almost certainly indicates that there’s a hole somewhere. And while a repair might help, the better choice could be a replacement.

5. You’re Hearing Noises

If there are weird noises or vibrations that seem to be coming from your tires, you should have them inspected as soon as you can. While a replacement could do the trick, these symptoms could indicate a more serious issue.

If you need one tire or a complete set, make an appointment with the service center at Superior Mazda.
