Mazda Execs Race Their Own Zoom-zoom

The higher ups at the Japanese auto makers are zooming in a fun little race held to show off how fun a brand Mazda really is.

Who's who and what did they drive?

Weldon Munsey, director of dealer affairs, piloted a 1992 GTP rotary-engine powered GTP racer - the American equivalent of the class of race cars that run at LeMans. The car is powered by a 2.3-liter, four-rotor rotary engine generating 638 horsepower. Munsey took first place in his class of other GTP ars of the era with the fastest time.

Usually, when a car gets over 40 miles to the gallon you expect it to be a small hybrid. Not the MAZDA6.

Mazda and the all new MAZDA6 is a mid-size sedan from the auto maker, it runs on a regular internal combustion gas engine and still can get 43 miles to the gallon.

Mazda To Produce Four Wheel Drive Minivan

Is an all new 4-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle coming out of Mazda's production line? The Japanese auto maker is already selling such a vehicle in Japan.

Mazda Strives for Higher MPG, Better Design in 2011

Mazda Motor Corp. expects better fuel economy and a more functional interior to boost sales of the redesigned MAZDA5 minivan. The MAZDA5 goes on sale in the United States next January. The automaker aims to sell 20,000 to 30,000 a year in the United States, Thomas Pixton, senior managing executive officer, said at the vehicle's Japanese launch on July 1.

MAZDA3 Overtakes MAZDASPEED3

Mazda produces two very popular sedan/hatchback models based on one variant, the MAZDA3. The MAZDASPEED3 was created to be a more powerful option for the younger buyers. The more cost conscious consumers are more interested at the base Mazda model.

Both cars have different options: MAZDA3 in compact sedan and hatchback has front-wheel drive and five-passenger seating.
