MAZDA is getting a little help from the TomTom GPS navigation company, which will supply the new MAZDA5 and MAZDA3 models with complimentary nav devices and futuristic traffic tech.

The Dutch company will provide these vehicles with connection to its navigation solution enabling dynamic routing, which is based on live traffic updates.

Giles Shrimpton, managing director of TomTom added: "Due to the success of TomTom's connected navigation product on the Mazda5, I am pleased to see it being rolled out on the new Mazda3 facelift model offering customers a great connected in-dash navigation experience. The navigation technology of TomTom is state-of-the-art and very user-friendly - a perfect fit to our brand and our vehicles."¹

Also available is TomTom's Blue&Me, which connects via Bluetooth with any compatible mobile device and media player. The system utilizes up-to-date speed camera information, live weather updates and local search to find various points of interest. TomTom's navigation solution software is available in Europe currently, on the recently launched MAZDA5.
