Mazda produces two very popular sedan/hatchback models based on one variant, the MAZDA3. The MAZDASPEED3 was created to be a more powerful option for the younger buyers. The more cost conscious consumers are more interested at the base Mazda model.

Both cars have different options: MAZDA3 in compact sedan and hatchback has front-wheel drive and five-passenger seating. Its engine choices consist of a 148-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder or 167-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder. That is matted to a 6-speed automatic or five-or-six-speed manual transmission.
