Mazda To Produce Four Wheel Drive Minivan

Is an all new 4-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle coming out of Mazda's production line? The Japanese auto maker is already selling such a vehicle in Japan.

Overseas, it is known as they Mazda Premacy. In the United States, such a car is known as MAZDA5.

The 4WD Premacy is available in two model grades and sales have already started selling at all Mazda dealerships throughout Japan.

Mazda has stated the 4WD system automatically distributes power between the front and rear axles and drivers can select between front-wheel drive or 4WD. The 4WD Premacy is equipped with the MZR two-liter DOHC four-cylinder gasoline engine.

Will the new US-bound MAZDA5 come with 4WD? Possibly, but for now we know that MAZDA5 is equipped with a 2.3 liter inline four cylinder motor, good for 153 horsepower. The vehicle rides on 17" alloy wheels and comes with steering wheel audio controls, LED taillights, fog lights, a power moonroof, and a six disc CD changer.

Pricing for an all new MAZDA5 starts at $18,500 base MSRP, but can head up to the mid-20,000's depending on trim level and extra features.

Come in to test drive the updated MAZDA5, or any other new MAZDA vehicles today at Superior Mazda - 2600 SE Moberly Lane, Bentonville, AR 72712.
